There’s a ton of fun-filled activities to enjoy from winter festivals, skating, cross-country skiing and snow shoeing to cooking demonstrations and more. Many of our GOguide activity recommendations feature low-cost equipment rentals that make it easier to try out something new. Go ahead and get your winter on!

MICHIGAN RECREATION PASSPORT
Michigan’s state parks and forests are great places to get in touch with nature. Pay $11 more when you renew your license plate and get the Michigan Recreation Passport. It gives you entry to our state parks and forests where you can take advantage of campgrounds, boat launches, lakes and much more. The pass is good all year long! The Passport does not include entry into local, county, municipal, or metropolitan parks or recreation areas.
Passport purchase locations: Secretary of State offices or online tab renewals and State Park Customer Service Centers
Fee: Michigan Residents registered vehicles ($11) / Registered motorcycles ($5)

It is located on Stony Creek Lake near the boat launch area. You can play hockey in designated areas next to the large general skating rink. Check website for weather conditions.
